During the summer from June 2 through July 31, the office hours for all schools and District departments for public access are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. All schools and District departments will be closed on Fridays. This schedule support the District’s energy cost savings effort.

High School Dual Enrollment Information
Dual Enrollment Application process:
- If you haven’t done so already, please sign up for the PERT test, link is on Schoology.
- Fill out Dual Enrollment application. Link to application:
-Click First Time User Account Creation
- Fill out Signature page and return to your guidance counselor. This page must have your SJRSC student # on it. This number is assigned to you once you complete the online application.
- Make sure you are applying for the right semester. Summer is up now, but fall will not open until later in the spring.
- Student must have an unweighted 3.0 GPA in order to participate in Dual Enrollment.

Investing in Kids (INK)
Investing in Kids (INK) is a public, non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation recognized as the direct support organization for the St. Johns County School District. INK’s mission is to lead the efforts of the entire community in raising and distributing funds to support all of our public schools. Programs that are supported by INK are Teachers of the Year Celebration, Horizon Mini-Grants, Art Attack!, Take Stock in Children, Supplemental Educational Services Tutoring Program, and Tools for Schools. 100% of donations are spent on St. Johns County students, teachers, and programs. Summer 2025 High School Facility Use
In an effort to promote community health and well-being this summer, SJCSD will open its high school facilities to the public on select Wednesday evenings throughout the summer. Due to ongoing athletic field turf renovations, Ponte Vedra High School's facilities will not be available.
Summer BreakSpot - Free Meals for Kids & Teens
After schools close for the summer, kids and teens can still get free meals through Summer BreakSpot! No application is necessary, just show up to one of the thousands of meal sites across Florida.
Summer BreakSpot offers balanced breakfasts, lunches, snacks or dinner. Locations include places like parks, libraries and churches.
Summer BreakSpot is available all summer long for kids and teens 18 and under.

FortifyFL App
FortifyFL is a website and app developed at the direction of the Florida Legislature. Any student, educator, parent, or member of the public can report school safety concerns directly to law enforcement and school administrators anonymously and easily through the FortifyFL app or getfortifyfl.com.
Florida school districts are now required by the FLDOE to make a FortifyFL Training Presentation available to parents and guardians.
School Access
This is just a reminder that anyone (parent, guardian, friend, neighbor, aunt, uncle) must have school access to attend an event at Pedro Menendez High School, have lunch with a student and/or attend an awards assembly. If you have not already done so, please complete the School Access Form. The process for approval may take up to 4 weeks, so please fill out the application sooner than later for any guests that would like to have school access. Once the application is approved, school access will be valid for three years.
About Menendez
Pedro Menendez High School is located south of historic St. Augustine, Florida. Our doors opened in the year 2000 with state-of-the-art facilities serving the needs of 1500 students in St. Johns County. Our curriculum offers Academy Programs in the areas of Business, Digital Design, Health Science and Architectural and Building Sciences. Menendez also gives students the option to participate in a rigorous program of International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, and Honors Courses.
